Silver Creek Wrestling Club

Friendship Meets:

• Friendship Meets are with another club

• They are around 2 hours depending on how many kids each club has

• Each Wrestler will be paired with someone who is as close to their weight and experience as possible

• Weights are usually Satellite (taken at the practice before meet) 

• Entry Fee typically $2-$4 for spectators 

Duals:

• Duals are against another club team; individual wrestlers earn points toward team score

• There will be one wrestler from each weight class selected to participate

  • To determine who wrestles, there will be a “wrestle off” during the practice 

  • Exhibition matches will be scheduled for those not participating in dual matches, to the best of our ability 

• Entry Fee typically $2-$4 for spectators

Tournaments:

• Must register through USA Wrestling online https://www.usawmembership.com/

• There is an annual fee to register. Please associate your wrestler with the club!

• You will receive a printable card with their USA wrestling number. That number will be needed to register for their tournaments. 

• These Tournaments are typically all day and can be more than one day

• Weigh-ins will be done at the facility by the tournament officials along with a skin/nail check

• Wrestlers will wrestle in their weight class; Experience level will depend on type of tournament

• Entry Fee typically $5-$8 for spectators

Equipment Needed:

• Headgear

• Mouthpieces- MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES

• Wrestling Shoes- DO NOT WEAR OUTSIDE EVER

• Singlet- Will be provided by Club. Sizing will be determined when distributed to wrestlers. 

Important Reminders:

• Please shower after every practice/meet to reduce the chance of getting a skin bacteria

• Make sure nails/toenails are trimmed regularly
